Around 80 researchers and practitioners from about 10 countries joined in Toulouse to give shape to the seminal International Conference on New Business Models on 16 and 17 June. During this two-day conference, over 30 papers were presented in 8 sessions, covering a variety of topics related to business models, including circular economy, regional development, stakeholder roles, and corporate reporting.
This first episode of the NBM Conferences showed that the topic of new business models is up-to-date and a more profound understanding of their workings is needed. Most importantly, to provide an answer to the question of how to move away from ‘business as usual’ to a way of doing business in favour of sustainable development.
