Ecosystems in Support of Sustainability
Track 1.2
Through the “Get to know our tracks” series of NBM2023, we are presenting to you track 1.2, Ecosystems in support of sustainability. This track is focused on how different stakeholders can be aligned, interact, and collaborate to gain competitive advantage, boost innovation and increase business productivity. Track 1.2 is chaired by Nikolay Dentchev, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium); Bart Leyen, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) & Abel Diaz Gonzalez, Maastricht University (The Netherlands).
Nikolay, Bart, and Abel value the ongoing discussion at NBM. This is reflected through his continuous engagement of the VUB team with past editions of the conference. And is well explained for the fact that Abel is one of the conference chairs. We hope you consider contributing to our track, and for our vision to be shaped by your ideas.
We invite you to take a step back and look at the big picture. By creating an enabling environment in which innovators have the means in their own hands. Submissions may cover different aspects of the ecosystem, or focus on specific elements or dynamics in the ecosystem. This session aims at attracting scholars to discuss their current research on how to build ecosystems in support of sustainability, as we will focus our discussion on ecosystems for new business models, including their new challenges in light of the pandemic and inflation.
We welcome papers from different methodological backgrounds - including literature reviews, and theoretical-, conceptual- and empirical papers. We seek to involve in the discussion papers developed by senior and young academics, students, entrepreneurs, and practitioners. Such variety of profiles and backgrounds will be a good mix in the audience to open a dynamic discussion and to provide relevant feedback to the ideas and work of all presenters.
