Our NBM2024 guide for visiting Donostia / San Sebastian

San Sebastián (Donostia in Basque) is a medium-sized cosmopolitan city (186,700 inhabitants) located in the north of the Basque Country (Spain). It is renowned for its cuisine, award-winning urban beaches and Parisian-inspired architecture. The city is well prepared to welcome demanding visitors who want it all: high-quality services, unique spaces, memorable experiences and a full range of cultural and leisure opportunities.

 
 

1. Preparing your travels

San Sebastian is easily accessible by plain, train, bus and car.

Once in the city and for sustainable mobility, you can use public transport or rent a bike.

 

2. Where to stay

The accommodation offer is abundant although the period in which the NBM Conference is held is very touristy. We have prepared a list of different accommodation options located close to the conference venue.

Accommodation is also available in university residence halls and similar establishments. Take a look at the following sites: Olarain, Resa Inn, and Livensaliving.

ATTENTION !! (2024.04.02): The Olarain University Hall of Residence has 12 rooms blocked from 03/07 to 06/07. The release date will be 03/05/2024. After that date, the rooms that have not been reserved will be unblocked. All those who wish to book must write to javiermarin@olarain.com indicating that they will be attending the 9th International Conference on New Business Models #NBM2024 organized by Mondragon University.

The conference venue is the Faculty of Engineering of Mondragon Unibertsitatea, located at Jauregi Bailara, s/n, 20120 Hernani, Gipuzkoa, 15 minutes from San Sebastian.

We will provide transport from the centre of San Sebastian to the Campus on the days of the conference. In addition, public transport is available from San Sebastian to the Campus.
