To close our 10th anniversary Voices of the Community series, we shift the lens: If you were to celebrate the 20th anniversary of NBM today, what would you want to be proud of?

In this second reflection, NBM Board members Romana Rauter and Abel Diaz Gonzalez look at how today’s efforts could shape tomorrow’s legacy. Their message is grounded in values, purpose, and responsibility, a thoughtful challenge for the entire community.

Keynote Prof. Dr. Jan Jonker at NBM2025 - 10th Anniversary Edition

In this special keynote, Prof. Dr. Jan Jonker reflects on the past, present, and future of the International Conference on New Business Models, marking its 10th anniversary in Reykjavík.

Renowned for his pioneering work in sustainable development and business models, Jan Jonker was the original initiator of the NBM Conference, which began in Toulouse in 2016. With his characteristic clarity and vision, he revisits the origins of the NBM community, its evolution over the past decade, and the challenges that lie ahead.

This keynote honours the collective journey of the NBM community, a vibrant, global network rethinking business for a sustainable future, and invites us all to shape its next chapter.
